Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been names etched in country music history since the early nineties. “Tim and Faith” have been a synonymous pair since the mid to late nineties, providing the genre’s fans with some of their favorite songs, as well as a love story that makes them swoon.
Over the years, McGraw has continued to pump out music and rack up nearly forty No. 1 hits, while Hill took time off from the spotlight. However, because Hill was such a force and built a rock solid foundation in the industry, her return was always anticipated. When she decided to make a comeback this year with the Soul2Soul World Tour and her single with McGraw, “Speak to a Girl,” fans couldn’t have been happier.
Then came the news that a new album was on the way.
It isn’t unusual for McGraw and Hill to release a collaboration. They’ve done it many times before with songs like “It’s Your Love,” “Let’s Make Love,” “I Need You,” and “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s.” However, this collaboration was the start of something new; it was the lead track to a project including the couple — one that is unlike anything they’ve released individually in the past.
With McGraw parting ways with Big Machine and Hill saying goodbye to longtime label Warner Music Nashville, the two inked a deal with Sony and announced they would be putting out a joint album. Now, McGraw and Hill have announced the title, shared the cover art, and placed the album on presale.
The Rest of Our Life, the title track for which you can download immediately upon purchase, will be released on November 17. Click here to preorder your copy and/or stream available tracks now.
