The year’s been kind to Tim McGraw with the success of his hit new song “Humble and Kind” written by the amazing Lori McKenna.   Since it’s release Tim has been sharing stories of kindness and compassion on his social media outlets and encouraging fans to do the same.  the song has won numerous awards throughout the year and just yesterday it was nominated by the GRAMMYs for Song of the Year.

McGraw’s mother, Betty Trimble went to her hometown Walmart yesterday in Macclenny, FL on a mission for her son and daughter-in-law.  The iconic couple sent Tim’s mom to pay off $5,000 worth of layaway items for lucky patrons.  Customers were sent a text telling them their purchases were paid off.   When confused locals came to the store for clarification they were handed their paid off receipts with a Christmas card signed by the famous couple that read “Merry Christmas”.  Trimble also passed out cards with cash to random surprised shoppers.  Betty even retweeted some of the shared pics from her visit to the store.

Next year should be an exciting year for the McGraw’s as the feature film “The Shack” which stars Tim hits theaters in March.  The movie also features a song the pair co-wrote alongside hit songwriters Lori McKenna and Shane McAnally.  They also plan to revitalize the largest grossing country tour ever, their co-headlining Soul2Soul Tour for round three in April.

Would you be more excited to have your purchase paid off or a hand signed Christmas card from Tim & Faith?
