If you have heard Thomas Rhett‘s current single, “Marry Me,” you knew this day was coming. Today, Rhett celebrates another No. 1 hit, marking the tenth time the Big Machine/Valory Music Co. singer-songwriter has made his way to the top of the charts.
The third single off his album Life Changes, “Marry Me” is arguably Rhett’s best vocal performance to date, proving that he has many more layers to his artistry than what has been displayed by his radio releases of the past. In fact, if you weren’t a Rhett fan before this song, it’s hard to believe that you were not immediately converted upon first listen.
On the success of his latest song, Rhett stated in a press release:
It is unbelievable to me that the fans and Country radio have gotten behind me for 10 No. one’s. As an artist and songwriter, there is nothing better than knowing and feeling your music connect with people. I’m just incredibly grateful.
The rise of “Marry Me” to No. 1 follows Rhett receiving a CMA Triple Play Award for writing three chart-topping hits in a one-year period (“Die a Happy Man,” “Star of the Show,” and Michael Ray‘s “Think a Little Less”). The humble and talented artist was also just awarded iHeartRadio’s Country Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. Additionally, he is the recipient of six nominations for the ACM Awards and has the opportunity to defend his Male Vocalist of the Year title when the April 2018 show airs.
