On Sunday morning, June 18, while dads across the country were receiving ties, mugs, handmade items and their favorite dinners, Craig Campbell was giving Rory Feek a very special gift.

The country singer delivered a song that the two men co-wrote while in Cowboy Church. The song, “Father to Father”, is Feek’s first cowrite in two and a half years. He thanked his fellow artist on his Facebook page saying, “Thank you for the sweet father’s day gift Craig.”

"FATHER 2 FATHER" – Craig Campbell…was surprised to hear this this morning at Cowboy Church in the barn. It’s the first song I have been part of writing in two-and-a-half years.Thank you for the sweet father’s day gift Craig.

Feek’s wife, Joey, lost an arduous battle with cancer in March of 2016. Rory continues to raise their daughter Indiana in their Tennessee home.

The proud dad also posted a smiling picture of the little girl with a “Happy Father’s Day” message.

Feek recently celebrated what would have been his 15th wedding anniversary to his beloved wife and musical partner in Joey+Rory, on June 15.

Rory shared his thoughts with social media followers, as he has through every step of the painful journey he has been on.

“…taking a ride down memory lane in the Olds,” he wrote in a June 15 Facebook post. It was attached to a picture of the couple’s vintage car parked on a local street. “This is the place where Joey and I first met. And we were married here 15 years ago today. Happy anniversary my love.”

The devoted husband and father has not let the memory of his wife fade with her passing. He continues to honor her, and their love in all the ways he possibly can.

On April 7, Feek re-released a 2005 full-length solo album, If Not for You. The singer gave his first public performance since his wife’s passing on a CBS morning show in May.
