Country music duo LOCASH, made up of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, has partnered with NCAA Baseball to participate in the post-season games and festivities.
According to a press release that came out today on behalf of LOCASH, the duo’s new single, “Don’t Get Better Than That,” was chosen as NCAA Baseball’s theme song for the 2018 post-season coverage on ESPN. The song will also have a role in the College World Series, which begins next month in Omaha, Nebraska.
Additionally, Lucas and Brust will perform at the opening ceremony of the NCAA Men’s College World Series (June 15). The performance will take place at home plate of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is sponsoring the event and has made it possible for the LOCASH appearance to be free and open to the public.
Though Lucas and Brust have been performing together (originally under Locash Cowboys) for much longer, it wasn’t until 2015 when the pair broke out with a hit song. “I Love This Life” was certified gold by the RIAA, putting the duo on the country music map.
Following the gold certification, LOCASH scored its first No. 1 hit with “I Know Somebody.” The duo also released “Ring On Every Finger” to radio as the third single from its Reviver Records debut, The Fighters. With the success of the tracks off the label debut, the two became recipients of multiple award nominations, including ACM Awards New Vocal Duo, CMT Awards Duo Video of the Year, and CMA Awards Vocal Duo of the Year.
The ESPN/NCAA College Baseball theme song, “Don’t Get Better Than That,” is the first single off LOCASH’s sophomore full-length album, which is expected to release later this year.
