Little Big Town have named a line of items after one of their biggest hits, “Boondocks.”
The band members are no strangers to making a business out of their brand. Kimberly Schlapmann has a cooking show, Kimberly’s Simply Southern on the Cooking Channel. She also has a cookware, bakeware, cutlery and a cookbook line, called Love and Daisies available through Home Shopping Network.
Fashionista Karen Fairchild is always trendsetting with her style, and she made it available to her fans when she launched her clothing line, Fairchild. The ready-to-wear clothes are available at Macy’s.
Karen and Kimberly teamed with home furnishing site Joss & Main for a curated sale.
Now, the whole band is working together on a “Boondocks” line, that is available through the Grand Ole Opry Store. The items include a series of badges, that feature different lyrics from their iconic song, as well as titles of songs like “Girl Crush” and “Happy People”. There are graphic tees, stemless phoenix wine glasses, candles, coffee mugs and stainless steel water bottles.
You can get a journal that says, “I Was Born and Raised in the Boondocks,” or a leather koozie with a metal LBT logo detail. There is a gorgeous leather handbag with the same detailing that will be an instant classic, and should be perfect for a night out, a church service, a day with the friends.
There is a fancy red lace bomber jacket, and series of leather logo bracelets.
Released May 2005 as the first single from their album The Road to Here, “Boondocks” became Little Big Town’s first Top 10 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. It was written by Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads (Schlapman), Phillip Sweet, Jimi Westbrook and Wayne Kirkpatrick.
