Thomas Rhett has always made us feel something with his music, and that’s especially true for his latest song, “Sixteen.” Last week, the singer revealed the new track from his upcoming album.

“Sixteen” is all about looking back at some of the milestone moments in your life when all you wanted to do was get a little older. Driving a car, legally drinking, and heading to Vegas are just a few of the things Thomas Rhett sings about in this catchy, laid back tune.

“Sixteen” is the third song Rhett has released from his album, Life Changes, which is set for a September 8th release date. The album contains a duet with Maren Morris, titled “Craving You.” That song set the tone for the album, and went straight to number one on the country charts. His latest single to hit radio is “Unforgettable,” and it’s well on its way to topping the chart, too.

While we’re sure Thomas Rhett is enjoying the professional success he’s had over the past few years, 2017 has also been an exciting year in his personal life. He and his wife, Lauren Akins, recently adopted a baby girl, Willa Gray. Lauren is pregnant with their second child, and is due any day now! She recently posted to tell fans that her due date was August 8th (which has obviously passed), so we’re on the edge of our seats waiting for Baby #2 to arrive!

Just like he sings about at the end of “Sixteen,” it seems like Thomas Rhett has plenty of reasons to be enjoying right where he is now.

Listen to “Sixteen” below! What do you think of the tune?
