It’s time for a little party … a Jon Pardi, that is!

Today is singer-songwriter Jon Pardi’s thirty-third birthday, and we are positive that he got a little dirt on his boots during a celebration of his life. That life began in 1985 in Dixon, California; and little did anybody realize off the bat that a superstar was born.

It was at the age of twelve that Pardi realized his love and talent for music. He began writing his own songs and eventually formed a band so he could perform his work. He stayed in California and sharpened his skills throughout high school, but once his tassel was flipped to the other side, he made the trek to Nashville to work toward his dream job of becoming a country music artist.

Like most careers do, it took Pardi several years to truly break out, but in 2010, Dierks Bentley gave him his first shot on a major tour. Pardi opened for Bentley, who is his Universal Music Group (Capitol Nashville) label mate. The time on the road and in front of an audience eventually gave way to Pardi releasing his first single, “Missin’ You Crazy.” It broke into the Top 30 on the Billboard charts and then stalled out. It was his second single, “Up All Night,” that made him a Top 10 artist and truly showed his charting potential.

Those two singles, along with two other singles and a collection of other tracks, made up his debut studio album, Write You a Song. The album was released in 2014 and was the predecessor to a 2015 EP of additional songs recorded for the project, but just missed the cut, The B-Sides, 2011-2014.

Pardi began 2014 with two major artists’ tours under his belt — Bentley and Alan Jackson. He then headlined his first tour at the end of the year before heading out on the road with Brothers Osborne.

In 2016, his sophomore album, California Sunrise, which is filled with his biggest hits to date, was released. The singles from that album include “Head Over Boots,” “Dirt on My Boots,” and “Heartache on the Dance Floor.” “Head Over Boots” became Pardi’s first ever No. 1 song, with “Dirt on My Boots” following in its footsteps. “Heartache on the Dance Floor” fell just short of the top spot in the US, but scored him a No. 1 in Canada.
