This past weekend marked the biggest, loudest, and craziest weekend of the year in Nashville, Tennessee: CMA Fest 2018. Over one hundred and fifty artists came out to perform pro bono to give back to the fans who have helped get them to where they are today.
Just when festival goers thought the schedule was complete, a surprise addition was made to the lineup. The top selling solo artist of all time, Garth Brooks, was placed on the list of artists who would make appearances and give performances to those lucky enough to be in attendance.
Brooks showed up to the CMA Close Up Stage at Fan Fair X and packed the Music City Center with eager fans who just wanted to get a glimpse of the superstar. As always, Brooks showed up, completely casual, ready to talk to thousands of his closest friends about his music, family, and what the future has in store.
When the question/answer session shifted from SiriusXM’s Storme Warren leading the way to fans asking their burning questions, one lady challenged Brooks about whether he would follow suit in the industry and open a bar on Broadway. Surprisingly, Brooks didn’t just say “no” and move on to the next inquiry…he lingered there and hinted that the fan may be on to something.
According to Brooks, there could very well be something in the works. Something very close to the scene of his appearance at CMA Fest and something that is unlike any of the other recently opened establishments.
Is there a “Rodeo” in the works? Will we all finally be able to join the “American Honky Tonk Bar Association”? Is Garth Brooks giving fans a place to party and proclaim that they “Ain’t Goin’ Down ‘Til the Sun Comes Up”?
We shall see. And allegedly we shall see very soon…
