If there’s one thing that country music holds dear, it’s family. When the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas shook the country community earlier this week, country artists didn’t waste any time before they rose up and stood up to help those who have been affected by the tragedy. Florida Georgia Line just announced that they’d made a huge donation to the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund, but they’re not stopping there.

The duo decided to up the ante a bit, and they challenged several fellow artists to donate, as well. Florida Georgia Line’s Instagram post included a friendly encouragement to fellow country artists Thomas Rhett, Tim McGraw, and Luke Bryan, as well as friends in other genres like Jason Derulo, the Backstreet Boys, and Bebe Rexha.

“Times like this call for us to come together and make a difference,” Florida Georgia Line said on Instagram, “Let’s give the hurt families one less thing to worry about in this time of distress […] Let’s ease the financial burden on the families and victims of this senseless tragedy.”

We haven’t seen any more “donation challenge” posts from those that Florida Georgia Line called on, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t supporting the victims and those affected. Countless country stars have shared thoughtful messages and many have been moved to action by the tragedy.

Great job, Florida Georgia Line, for stepping up to help those affected by this horrible event, and for asking your country community to do the same.
