When Danielle Bradbery released her I Don’t Believe We’ve Met album, listeners were immediately drawn to the track, “Worth It.” The song, which Bradbery has called her favorite on the album due to the importance of the lyrical message, has been receiving spins on SiriusXM The Highway since the release. Those spins have especially increased as of late.
In support of the release of the song, Bradbery has been teasing that a music video was on its way, sharing some behind-the-scenes photos and clips from the shoot. Yesterday, the video was exclusively released to PEOPLE, with today being the official debut to the public.
According to an e-mail Bradbery crafted to be sent to fans, she drew inspiration for the treatment of the video from a recently acclaimed film.
For this video I was inspired by Jenny Lind’s performance of “Never Enough” in the movie, “The Greatest Showman.” Jenny’s voice and the lyrics alone have such a visible and beautiful impact on the audience and the other characters in the movie. My goal was for the simplicity in the “Worth It” video to have the same impact on you. I hope it inspires you to be proud and confident.
Proud and confident are two words that can be used to describe Bradbery since the promotion and release of her sophomore album (December 2017). The girl who won our hearts at the age of sixteen has shown an abundance of growth and maturity in her music, taking fans who have followed her since 2013 through many stages of her life. What those long-time fans will take away from the “Worth It” music video is that the kind and talented artist from Texas they have always believed in is ready to take the world by storm and prove that she’s here with purpose.
