Dan + Shay Release New Self-Titled Album

Dan + Shay, "Road Tripping'"

Country music duo Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) has released its third album. The self-titled project, which contains hit single “Tequila,” has been highly anticipated by the duo and fans alike, and today the wait comes to an end.

In discussing the creation of the third album, Dan + Shay explained:

Our first two albums helped us build an incredible, and super-loyal, fan base, so we knew it was our responsibility to them to put out the best music we could on this record. Most importantly, we wanted to deliver a project that would satisfy the people who got us where we are in the first place.

Since scoring three consecutive No. 1 songs (“Nothin’ Like You,” “From the Ground Up,” “How Not To“), Smyers and Mooney have put their heads down and worked in an attempt to give fans even better music to follow the successful tracks. The duo emerged from its writing sessions with eleven tracks, including the Top 3 ballad “Tequila.” Also amongst the songs that came out of the project is “Speechless,” a song each of the artists has dedicated to his wife.
