When it comes to reality television, it isn’t rare for love to blossom between cast members or contestants. We have seen show-mances turn real-life forever romances many times on Big Brother, The Real World, and, of course, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. However, this weekend marked a first for a singing competition.
On Saturday, former NBC The Voice contestants, Colton Swon (of The Swon Brothers) and Caroline Glaser said “I do.” The couple met on season 4 of the show, where Glaser was eliminated early into the live shows, while the Swons went on to place third.
Their 2014 meeting led to dating, which led to an engagement, which brought us to their lucky day — March 17, 2018. The pair celebrated its upcoming nuptials in an Instagram post on March 5, leading fans to know the ceremony was taking place any day.
According to the Tennessean, Swon and Glaser were married at Nashville’s Houston Station in front of approximately 300 friends and family members. Among those in attendance were long-time friend from Oklahoma and recent tour mate, Carrie Underwood. Swon’s duo partner and brother, Zach Swon, stood by his side, serving as his best man on the special day.
The Tennessean also gave details of Glaser’s dress and Swon’s tuxedo, sharing that each came from a Nashville designer, Olia Zavozina. Glaser’s gown, which can be seen above, transformed from a floor-length garment to a shorter, more comfortable skirt for the reception. Zavozina was also responsible for the best man tux, as well as the mother-of-the-groom dress.
The Swontastic party was complete with flip flops for female guests so they could kick off their shoes and dance the night away. The reception also, and unsurprisingly, included a stage with instruments so those who stayed to celebrate with the couple could take turns jamming, in true Nashville style.
The newlyweds have delayed their honeymoon so they can each continue working on new music.
Congratulations to Colton and Caroline Swon!
