Notably absent from this year’s ACM Awards was top nominee, Chris Stapleton. The songwriter who quietly flew under the radar for years and emerged as a solo artist in 2015, once again, was victorious at the ACMs, adding two more trophies to his home (Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year).
Interestingly, those weren’t the only two new additions to the Stapleton household this award show season. While his peers were gathered at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and his fans were glued to their televisions, Stapleton was welcoming twin sons to his family.
On April 15, the same day as the award show and Stapleton’s own birthday, the two newest Stapletons made their arrivals. Earlier in the evening, when his first award was won, host Reba McEntire explained that he was unable to attend because his wife was due to give birth any day. It was at the time of his second win that she came out with an unexpected update.

The Stapletons announced that they were expecting twins in October 2017 when wife Morgane posted a public message to her country music star husband in honor of their ten year wedding anniversary.
14 years, 2 babies, & 2 more on the way. Happy 10 year anniversary babe! You make my whole world go round.
Aside from their personal successes, the two have continued to traverse through their professional lives together. Morgane serves as background vocalist and occasional other half to her husband, ensuring that the family is able to be together no matter where this musical journey may take them.
Congratulations to Chris and Morgane Stapleton on their newest additions, as well as to Stapleton on another successful ACM Awards night!
