It’s been ten years since Cassadee Pope and her then band Hey Monday took off on the adventure of a lifetime. The pop/rock band that Pope fronted jumped on the popular Van’s Warped Tour in 2008, giving the now country star her first exposure to life on the big stage. Now, in a truly nostalgic moment for the No. 1, Grammy-nominated singer, Pope has announced her return to the tour.
According to Pope’s social posts, she will be a special guest on this year’s Warped Tour at the July 30 and 31 dates (Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia, respectively). In the post, which has fans from her solo career and band career jumping for joy, Pope teased that not only would she return to the tour, but she may whip out some of her old songs from her Hey Monday days.
The Warped Tour began in 1995 and has grown into the largest traveling festival in the United States. It is also the longest running festival in North America. Its founder announced that this year would be its final year, but also hinted that a 2019 party to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the festival may be in order.
Van’s warped Tour boasts man acts and the performances are split among a number of stages. Pope is schedule to appear on Journey’s Left Foot Stage during the two dates on which she will make her return.
