It’s officially CMA Fest week in Nashville, Tennessee, and the country music stars are coming out in droves to participate in one of the most exciting weeks of the year. For Cassadee Pope, the next week will be extraordinarily busy, but she was happy to get it started just a little bit early, thanks to a partnership with Pedigree and CMT.
Over the weekend, Pope, her Instagram famous dog Cuppy, family, friends, and fans gathered in Nashville’s Cumberland Park for a one-of-a-kind event. Welcoming men, women, children of all ages, and fur babies, Pope performed a free concert for country music fans of all shapes, sizes, and species.
While the adorable pets were certainly a highlight of the event, what really stood out to us was the number of fellow female country artists who made appearances to show support for Pope. Among those who came by with their furry friends were Kalie Shorr, Kelleigh Bannen, Tara Thompson, Leah Turner, and Mickey Guyton.
And this right here is what makes Nashville so great.
In addition to lovely weather and a gorgeous backdrop to create a memorable setting for this Pope concert, the women who are walking the same path coming out to support her made this one for the books. There is nothing quite as beautiful as women having one another’s backs; especially women who could look at each other as “competition” in a dog eat dog world (pun totally intended).
Ladies of Nashville, we commend you on your constant ability to stick together and raise each other up. You are all superstars on our chart.
