It’s been a long road for Carrie Underwood since her November 2017 fall outside her home. It seems like we haven’t seen Underwood much at all over the last five months, but it appears that drought is coming to an end — very, very soon.
According to reports today, Underwood is ready to re-emerge into the spotlight, performing this Sunday on the ACM Awards, airing live from Las Vegas. All we know so far is that she is preparing to debut a new single; one that we may get a sneak peek at this coming Wednesday, April 11, at 6:00am ET.
The country music superstar posted a picture to Twitter and Instagram this morning, showing a close up of her eye with glitter falling from it like teardrops, hinting that in two days something magical will be revealed.
After Underwood’s post that showed her back in the studio last week and today’s teaser, a press release was issued that confirmed that the thirteen-time ACM Award winner would unveil a new single on the stage this Sunday night. The premiere will mark the first time Underwood has been seen by the public since the CMA Awards in November.
The new single will also be the first since the release of Underwood’s Storyteller, with the exception of the Winter Olympics and NBC Super Bowl anthem, “The Champion,” featuring Ludacris. Of course, now that her album and its singles are behind her, fans are left to wonder what will come next from the singer-songwriter who never disappoints.
Make sure to tune into the ACM Awards on CBS this Sunday night, April 15, to catch Carrie Underwood’s brand new single and so much more!
