Big Machine recording artist Brett Young is preparing to make history with his fourth single off his debut album. Young released his self-titled debut album last year, and the California born and raised turned Nashville guy has experienced success after success after success with the project.

A songwriter on each of the album’s twelve cuts, Young’s first three singles, “Sleep Without You,” “In Case You Didn’t Know,” and “Like I Loved You,” all shot up the charts and earned him No. 1 songs. Additionally, “In Case You Didn’t Know” has reached 3x platinum status, making Young the only debut country artist to achieve that accomplishment since 2014.

Now, he follows his three chart-topping tunes with one that fans were hoping to hear on radio. “Mercy” is a gorgeous, soulful ballad that Young deemed one of his favorite songs on the record. The release of the single has been coupled with a video that matches it in beauty. Directed by Seth Kupersmith, the video was filmed over two days in Encino, California and White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.

Mercy” is one of my favorite songs on the record, so it’s been really cool to see it come to life. My buddy Seth has always had such a creative and artistic brain – I got chills when I read his idea for this video for the first time. I’m really excited to share this one with fans!
